This is a sad one folks.
Popular director Bryan Singer best known for the X-men franchise has joined the ever-growing list. A lawsuit was filed at the Washington state court against him last Thursday by Caesar Sanchez-Guzman.
Caesar Sanchez-Guzman allegedly accused Bryan Singer on a yacht in 2003 when he was still 17 years old. Caesar claims in the lawsuit that Singer lured him into a room after giving him a tour of the yacht and, “shut the door and demanded that Cesar perform oral sex”. When Caesar refused, “Singer forced him into acts of oral and anal sex.”
What’s sadder about this is that the lawsuit also states that Bryan Singer tried to use his influence to silence the minor:
“Later, Bryan Singer approached Cesar and told him that he was a producer in Hollywood and that he could help Cesar get into acting as long as Cesar never said anything about the incident. He then told Cesar that no one would believe him if he ever reported the incident and that he could hire people who are capable of ruining someone’s reputation.”
Caesar Sanchez-Guzman wants “general and specific damages” from Bryan Singer for, “emotional distress, mental anguish, physical and mental pain and suffering,” from the alleged attack.
These things just make me really sad folks. I can only hope this ends soon.
Until next time.
