Westworld Season 2 Date, Casting List Released

Is it just me or HBO has a knack for producing series that turn out to be jaw-dropping?

Asides Game Of Thrones and Stranger Things, HBO’s Westworld is another TV series that seems to have gathered a whole lot of followership for its first season.

The sci-fi/Western hybrid series proved to be one of the most innovative shows of the year despite being based on a 43-year-old film. It wrapped up with some (hardly unexpected) mindfuckery that left many viewers both confused, entranced and desperate for more.

Now all eyes are on showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy as they prepare to take us even deeper inside the maze.

According to digitalspy.com and nme.com, the show wouldn’t return to our screens till 2018.

“The production is enormously challenging and ambitious, and so is the writing,” Nolan said, off the back of the renewal news. “So we said very early on that we wouldn’t be able to turn this around every year.”

Ed Harris, in an interview with the Collider, said that filming is well underway. “So far, we’ve shot some from episode one, episode two, some from episode four, some from episode 10. They’re committed to having the scripts done to shoot so we’re done by Christmas.”
